This was a slow week due to low water.
We managed 3 salmon & 3 grilse the biggest weighing 7lb this week.
The fish were caught from different pool’s on the beat. Grey mare, Glister ,Spout & long pool. The chosen flies were Cascade, red Ally’s shrimp & Red Francis.
The second part of the week I started to see a few stale/ residents fish splashing around the pools.
So we started fishing deeper with 1inch red Francis & the fish couldn't resist.
Well down Juan Santamaria for catching sea liced fish on Saturday.

This week has been a difficult week due to low water and sunny spells.
We took the opportunity to focus on the maintenance on both beats strimming the banks and painting the hut at Middle Blackhall.
The river is up a few inches today so fingers crossed this rise pulls in a few fish for the next guests!
