A mixture of sunshine and cloud this week with an odd drizzly shower but a definite feel of cooler mornings and evenings with wind direction mostly coming from a northerly direction this week and it did drop the water temperature from the mid 60s down to below 60 Fahrenheit by Saturday. Water heights were below zero on the gauge all week and there were fish in some of the pools. It appeared that the only thing that they were showing interest in were riffled hitch flies and although we had enough interest in them, only one stayed on for the photo with Lawrence Collinson being the lucky angler with a 5lb er in Glister.

Now coming into the last 7 1/2 weeks of fishing of 2025 on the beat would you believe it, so if you fancy a cast before the end of the Dee season get in contact with Sarah to book. sarah@cairntonestate.co.uk

    Cheers Brian
