Into the last week of June already which means riverbank strimming starts next week.  A big task but looks lovely when it's done and for when we eventually get a high water making the fishing easier. The fishing this week hasn't been that easy with the levels falling away again and a variety of overhead weather conditions ranging from bright sunshine, cloudless skies to very strong winds and a sultry, humid atmosphere and it was looking like we were heading for a blank week and an unlucky week with a few lost,  however Saturday morning turned it around with Robert Bramman landing a lovely fresh 5.5lb er in The Cottage on a small hitched tube. Ian Anderson kept up his good run with a couple of sea trout to 2.5lb on a small Stoat Tail. We also had a 7lb er in Potters on a small hitched tube. A good finale to a difficult week.

We are also thrilled to have made the finalists lists in the Country Sport Scotland Awards 2025 in a very high standard of fellow fishing providers, congratulations to everyone for their hard work which makes fishing in Scotland a top destination for anglers from the UK and around the world

As always, if you would like to come an experience Cairnton and Middle Blackhall for yourself get in contact with Sarah directly to book.  Rod Availability is listed on our website  www.cairnton.co.uk    sarah@cairntonestate.co.uk
