Quite amazing to think we are at mid summer already with the longest day and shortest night although it's not really that dark. This past week we did have our first grilse of the season landed by Andy Ashcroft in Cairnton, at 3.5lb on a small Ally’s . First time visitor to the beat Tom Crawford managed a 10lb fish from Invercannie on a small Gledswood. 3 sea trout to 3lb were also landed. Again with the dry weather continuing the conditions weren't easy with the river dropping away and plenty of bright sunshine. Water temperatures were not too bad with 57/59 Fahrenheit up to Thursday with Fri/Sat 61/64 Fahrenheit.
