The first week of June has started off a bit more encouraging than what we have had in recent weeks with a bit more water, pretty good overhead conditions and some very heavy downpours towards the end of the week. Water heights were 7" on Monday.  Midweek up to 1ft and by Saturday down to 3" with water temperatures 52/55 Fahrenheit.  We did see fish most days and lost a few - some of them it was just very unlucky not to land. However Alex Penman did land a lovely fresh 5lb er from Glister on Friday, on a small Posh Tosh. We also had 3 sea trout, all around the 3lb bracket. Highlight of the week was Thursday with Kevin Taylor (Cairnton proprietor) and his fishing party. We did connect with fish that day but unfortunately all dropped off but as the photo's show it's not always about the fishing with a great day had by all.

    Cheers Brian
