The weather and water conditions thankfully started changing this week with a mix of rain, cloud and spells of sunshine and there is more much needed rain in the forecast. The water height on Monday was a half inch on the gauge but a few extra inches at the end of the week gave us 5 inches on the gauge and it started to look more like a river again. Water temperatures were 55/59 Fahrenheit.  Although we did see a very odd stale fish none were landed but 4 sea trout were landed with Mike Richardson landing 2. Roy Jennings 1 and Ian Anderson 1. All were fresh & were around the 3lb mark.  Historically the end of May is the end of the spring fishing so fingers crossed as we move into the summer months.

Great to see healthy broods of ducklings and most of the other river side birds still sitting tight on nests.

    Cheers Brian
