Our late spring drought continues with the river dropping away gradually, the height sitting at 3.5" on Monday and by Saturday we were down to 2". Water temperatures were 52/57 Fahrenheit however on a better note our fish drought has ended with a couple of fish and a sea trout landed this week with an odd fish seen here and there. Well known angler Ian Anderson landed a 9lb er in the Grey Mare and a Sea Trout in The Cottage pool on a small Green Butt. We also had a fresh 7lb er in Potters on a small Black Shrimp pattern. The healthy smolt run continues with good numbers being seen daily.
