What a week we had but unfortunately it was the weather that makes the headlines with daytime temperatures hotter than the Canary island's on a few of the days. The adverse weather conditions weren't really conducive to good fishing. River height falling away almost daily, clear blue skies and some frosts which didn't do us any favours for an evening or an earlier morning cast either. We did see a few fish showing here and there over the week but they didn't want to know but there is good news on the horizon with more cloud next week and a chance of some rain also so fingers crossed. River heights were 6" on Monday and by Saturday down to 3". Water temperatures were 46/50 Fahrenheit. It was also good to see the return of the sandpipers this week so not long until the swallows, swifts and Martins are back aswell.
