We have had really dry weather conditions this week with a frost most mornings, some light cloud on a few mornings but bright blue skies most of the time along with a chilly easterly breeze giving us some beautiful days but quite hard fishing conditions with the river level dropping away towards a normal summer height,  however we did land a couple of absolute cracking fish, both from the Middle Ferroch with David Fisher landing a 20lb er on Monday on a small Flamethrower. On Tuesday it was 80 year old David Gilchrist's turn with an 18lb er on a small Willie Gunn double.  A great way to start any week. Unfortunately that was it for the week although we did see a few each day which were trickling through.  Water heights were 1' 3" on Monday and by Saturday down to 7". Water temperatures were 44/46 Fahrenheit.
