A real mixture of weather this week with some frosty starts to the days plus lovely spring sunshine and some days with a difficult, strong north westerly and light easterly's blowing with a bit of rain thrown in.  The river was a fairly steady 1' 3" to 10" until Friday when an unexpected rise of a foot an a half came through very quickly and had started dropping within a couple of hours with Saturday holding all day at 1' 3" and fairly peaty. Water temperatures were 43 to 47 Fahrenheit.  A couple of lively fresh fish lost and a few were seen going through over the week and we are still seeing kelts and landing a few very well mended ones, with an odd one coming up for a March brown which were hatching during the brief warmer spells. We are going to get another rise today looking at the SEPA stations so maybe it will help stir a few up this coming week.

    Cheers Brian
