Hard to believe that's the first month of the season over with already and although it was quiet on the fishing side of things it wasn't a challenging month for adverse weather with only a few light dustings of snow and a handful of frosts making it fishable almost every day with just a couple of exceptions when we had higher water. We finished the month on a good note though with Andy Ashcroft landing his first from the beat this year, a lovely 9lb er from the Upper Ferroch on a Willie Gunn. Also encouraging to see some fish caught up river. The week ahead looks like there will be winds from an easterly and south easterly direction with some rain here and there and a few brighter days.
