This past week was a great week for fishing with fish landed and plenty more lost but that is sometimes the case with grilse and summer fish, it can be frustrating but keeps you on your toes. We ended the week with a reasonable 1 salmon, 8 grilse and 3 sea trout between the two banks, with everyone in the Jacobs party landing fish on the Middle Blackhall bank plus the Cairnton rods had their fair share of fish but the honours of the week have to go to Lena Sperring who has landed plenty fish in Norway and after a few visits to Cairnton managed her 1st Scottish salmon which was a lovely 4lb liced grilse from the Grey Mare & on a fly of her choice ( A lady meikleour).

The week ahead looks to be mostly dry with some rain here and there with heavier rain appearing on Friday. Wind swinging about from a westerly to northerly direction and from the south aswell over the week.

We have some availability this coming week so please check our website for the latest rod availability and then contact Sarah directly to book.
