After last weekend's milder spell, melting snow and rain mixed in, it wasn't a surprise for us to see the levels rising on Monday which was needed. It peaked at just under 5ft and was running pretty coloured by the afternoon.  By Tuesday morning the river was back down a couple of feet and was looking pretty good for a fish or two and although we did see an odd splash only kelts were landed. The following few days were looking really promising, even with another small rise in levels from Thursday into Friday and it was looking like a blank week was on the cards but on Saturday it was Mark Blair that saved the week with a lovely fresh fish of 14lb from the tail of kelpie on a cascade tube. It was good to see Mark getting one as it's normally his son Lewis that gets a fish. The week ahead looks cloudy with rain on and off the first few days with any winds coming from a south to South westerly direction .

    Cheers Brian

    Nice to see water again.
