Nice to see a few fish about this past week but it's never as easy as it reads. We had 3 salmon, 10 grilse and 1 sea trout landed and all fish being in really good condition. Some of the rods were luckier than others but all rods connected with one or two fish with some landed and some lost. Noteable catches were David Rybak landing 4 with the biggest being a 10lb licer from Rockhead. John Hickman landing his 1st Cairnton fish after a few visits, a 5lb liced grilse. Bob Seeber landed a couple of grilse and Peter Solomon also landed a couple of grilse. Favourite flies this week were small Cascades and Silver Stoats.

Conditions this week started off nicely at 11" and gradually fell away over the week to 3" on Saturday. Monday to Wednesday was mostly overcast with some sunny spells but the last three days were very hot and sunny. Water temperatures were between 58f to 62f.

This coming week looks to start off warm and dry with an occasional shower from midweek but the temperatures cooling down slightly as the week goes on.

We have availability on Middle Blackhall this coming week and rods across both banks the following week so please check our website for full details and get in contact with Sarah to book.
