It was a good start to our week on Monday morning with a lovely fish caught of 8lb for Jason Scott in the Spout on a small Cascade followed by Andy Ashcroft landing a nice 4lb grilse in Rock Head on a Sunray. On Tuesday a 3lb sea trout for Alan Carney from Glister. Wednesday, John Wallace had a 3lb sea trout in Salt Vat. Thursday was a bit better with Jonathan Lane landing a cracking fresh 12lber in Invercannie and Douglas Campbell landing a liced 8lber in Cairnton, both fish were on a small Ghillie fly. On Friday a 3lb sea trout was landed in Canary for Jonathan Lane. Over the week we did have a hold of a few others. The conditions for the week weren't the easiest with water levels at 5" on Monday and by end of play on Saturday it was at 2", so a good bit of rain now would be handy. The water temperatures were mid to high 50f. We did have some dull spells but it was mainly very warm and bright with a difficult strong westerly towards the end of the week.

This coming week looks to be dry and bright with an odd shower on Monday. Tuesday onwards looks dry and bright with some rain in the west and westerly winds.

    Cheers Brian
