Another great week with regards to the river and over head conditions. A few small rises throughout the week kept things ticking over nicely with the water temperature in the low to mid 50f. The first half of the week was quite quiet with not much to be seen but there were a couple of fish lost and we also had our first sea trout of the season with one being landed from either bank on Wednesday, both around the 2lb mark. The second half of the week was certainly more encouraging with the odd decent fish being seen here and there but they weren't keen in showing much interest but full marks to the rods for putting the hours in and sticking at it. However we did manage a fish late on Saturday evening from the Grey Mare, about 14lb on a size 12 Ghillie which saved the week.

This coming week looks quite changeable for the first half with sunny spells and some prolonged heavy showers. Later in the week should be a bit drier with the odd shower and wind picking up.

    Cheers Brian
