This was a productive week with 5 salmon & 1 sea trout.

On Monday I met George kuczera, David & Stuart on the Cairnton bank.

Stuart Norris caught a fresh 15lb salmon in the lower Ferroch using a hover with a willie Gunn. In the evening George caught a 14lb salmon in the Middle Ferroch using a floating line with a fast sink tip.

On Wednesday Middle Blackhall wasn’t let so  I gave George and his team the opportunity to fish the other side as the water suited the other side.

Stuart jumped at the opportunity after lunch. It didn’t take Stuart long before he was in the action in Malt steep with a 14lb salmon caught on a Junction shrimp.  George fished the Malt steep and in the evening he was awarded with a salmon around the 14lb mark.

On Thursday I met Mr R  Barnes & his friend at Cairnton, this was the teams 1st trip to Deeside.  Andrew was rewarded with a beautiful salmon from Lower Ferroch using a float line with fast sink tip and a monkey. He also caught a 2lb sea trout on the same method on Saturday afternoon.

The river is dropping so I hope this settled water brings in fish from the beats below.

    Tight lines Terry
