This was a more productive week. With three spring salmon from Middle Blackhall & three from Cairnton.

Middle Blackhall had Swedish host Pontus Gunlycke & his friends fishing hard throughout the week, but the sunny spells proved tricky conditions. But Lars Persson caught two fish for his week fishing a tiny Sunray. Weighted around 8lb & 11lb sea liced fish from Malt steep, floating bank.

    Also a huge congratulations to

Jacob Broberg with his 1st Scottish sea liced salmon from Rockhead.

On the Cairnton bank from Wednesday the beat gauge was reading

    1ft 1’

I caught a fish from Grey mare at last light  weighting 6lb very fresh but no Sea lice. I was using a F.H.I with a 10ft fast sink tip with a willie gunn.

I invited Andy Ashcroft to fish on Wednesday he managed to get on the scoresheet with a sea lice fish from Grey Mare using a monkey with a sink tip.

Wednesday evening I invited Martin Robson, Ghillie from Little Blackhall & Inchmarlo. Martin Landed a cracking fish from the Cottage pool on his last few cast’s of the evening using the LTS Nitro 13’6 with sink 2/3 with a 10ft tip and a sunray shadow.

The river started to rise at the tail end of the week with the snow melt up the valley. Here’s hoping next week we have some good sport.

    Tight lines

    Terry
