This week was a reasonable week due to the rise in water. Unfortunately it was a bit coloured throughout the week as the water temperature has started to drop which has encouraged the stale fish to become more aggressive.

Mr Richard Esp & his friend Mr Ken Bragg fished 4 days. Richard caught 3 fish on Wednesday at Cottage pool and Grey mare, all on a monkey with a 10ft intermediate tip. On Thursday he caught a 10lb salmon in Invercannie using the same method.

Ken lost a couple but managed to catch 1 fish in his last hour at Invercannie pool on a garry dog copper tube and a 10ft fast sink tip.

I was lucky enough to get a cast on Saturday and managed to catch an 8lb salmon from Upper Ferroch using a tungsten tube and a 10ft fast sink tip. I also landed a sea trout on the same method in Glisters.

Mr Andy Ashcroft managed to catch 3 salmon and a sea trout at Middle Blackhall all from Malts Steep throughout the week using a red pot belly pig and a 10ft slow sink tip.

Here’s hoping my guests have the same results this week!

    Tight lines,

    Terry
