This was a frustrating week for Mr J Marshall’s party.

We seen a few fish throughout the beat, In the neck of the pools, but the fish weren’t having any of our different tactics. 

On Saturday the river came up about 8inch sadly with a little colour that put the fish off the take. It started to fall & clear and by mid afternoon we started seeing a few fresh fish splashing around.  

John Marshall started in the Cottage pool after lunch with a 10ft intermediate tip with a size 10 cascade. It only took Mr Marshall 4 casts & the reel started screaming. After a battle we landed a 5lb hen fish and after a quick picture she was returned to continue her journey up the river. 

Hopefully we get some better sport this week.
