Terms & Conditions
Reservations of accommodation are accepted by Cairnton Estate Ltd on the following conditions:
- Contract of Hire
The hiring contract shall be between the Hirer and the owner of the property and shall be deemed to be made subject to these conditions of Hire. The Contract of Hire confers upon the hirer the right to occupy the property for a holiday only.
- Initial Payment
Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt by Cairnton Estate Ltd, the required non-refundable deposit payment(cheques made payable to Cairnton Estate Ltd). However, if the booking is made within one month of the holiday commencement date, the full accommodation rental will be required.
- Balance Payment
The Balance of Hire will be due for payment one month before the holiday commencement date. Cairnton Estate Ltd reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received less than three weeks before the holiday commencement date.
- Confirmation of Booking
Once a Confirmation of Booking has been issued by Cairnton Estate Partnership the Hirer is responsible for the total published price of the property.
- Booking Cancellation
Once a booking is confirmed by Cairnton Estate Partnership a contract has been made. The deposit cannot be refunded thereafter and the balance of payment is due not less than one month before the holiday commencement date. However, if written notice of cancellation is received, Cairnton Estate Partnership will attempt to re-let the accommodation. No guarantee is given that the accommodation can be re-let but in the event of re-letting taking place, the deposit only will be retained by the Estate and any balance will be returned to the Hirer.
- Damages
The Hirer is responsible during the period of let for any losses or damages to furniture, fittings and structure, or any other Estate Property, whether caused wilfully or not. Any such loss or damage must be repaired, replaced or paid for by the Hirer, to Cairnton Estate Ltd's satisfaction. In the event of damage occurring please notify Cairnton Estate Ltd immediately. A £50 damages deposit is payable with the balance of hire payment. This is refundable after the completion of the period of hire subject to a deduction for any damage and breakage's, or any additional cleaning required.
- Number in Party
The number of persons in each party taking the property is limited to six and in no circumstances must this be exceeded.
It is a condition of hire that the intended numbers in the hirer's party is confirmed at the time when the balance of hire falls due.
If the hirers are found to have exceeded the stated limit, Cairnton Estate Partnership reserve the right to terminate the hire forthwith, without any refund.
- Hirer's Responsibility
The Hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils, etc. must be left clean and the property must be left tidy at the end of the period. Cairnton Estate Partnership reserves the right to charge for any exceptional cleaning required.
- Entry
Please note bookings are from Sunday to Sunday, unless by prior arrangement. The accommodation cannot be entered before 1600 hrs on the day of arrival, unless special arrangements have been made, and must be vacated by 1000 hrs on the day of departure to enable caretakers to carry out any additional cleaning or any other work required between lets. For part weeks, please arrange times with the agent.
- Complaints
If the Hirer is not entirely satisfied with the accommodation offered, he/she should contact Cairnton Estate Partnership immediately, telephone 07885 738 497. Any complaints should be followed up in writing.
- Personal Belongings
You are asked to remove all food and belongings at the end of your stay. If items of furniture have been moved at all, please replace them as they were at the beginning of your stay.
